Today turned out to be a pretty long yet interesting day, I could say that I did a lot of living today. I got picked up at my hotel at 2:30 am to be driven to the airport for a 4:45 flight to Luxor... the real one, not the fake one in Las Vegas. On the ride to the airport the driver barely said two words to me, something that I am becoming very accustomed to from Egyptian taxi drivers (not a friendly bunch). 
I arrived at Luxor at 5 am and was met there by a guide I had previously arranged through an agency in Cairo. For the sake of convenience and time restrictions I arranged a tour of upper Egypt (Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel) through a travel agency in Cairo.... little did I know that this would come back to bite me in the ass. I think I got a pretty good deal through the agency as I thought I would only be able to see Luxor on my own... but through the agency I was able to pack all three sites into a 2 day itinerary.. once again, little did I know this would come back to bite me in the ass.ps: this blog will continue another day, NO TIME to write as I am staying at a flee infested hell hole that only lets me pay for one hour internet and I am leaving for Abu Simbel in about 2 hours.
